Gum with the Sweetest Spice

Clove was acquired by Thomas Adams and The American Chicle Company in 1914. Along with the cozy scent of its namesake herb, this gum has powerful clove flavor, plus hints of cinnamon and allspice. Legend has it, Clove gum spiked in popularity during U.S. Prohibition, as the strong smell of the gum would effectively disguise the smell of alcohol from local law enforcement.
